Who Is For Forks Sake? I'm Glenn, a 41 year food blogger, based in Bolton, United Kingdom. I'm big into movies, music, design, architecture and FOOD... I started out in life as an apprentice "holer" in a local craft bakeries crumpet section, my skills were quickly picked up on and after a couple of years was asked to head up the new bagel division. This led to my recruitment by the Polo mint company and a 6 month stint consulting with the Life Saver company out in the USA.  NASA spotted my growing expertise and offered me a research post into Quantum Singularities. I soon grew weary of this line of work and started anew, back in the UK, in my current role as a small business man (although limb lengthening procedures have started to take me beyond the original remit) As a dedicated eater (as you can probably tell from my fat face) I thought it might be interesting to have a go at food blogging - to see what it's all about, if I had the necessary patience and to find out if I could attract an audience... and so, in late October 2009, ForForksSake.co.uk was born. I decided to run a Twitter feed and "blogger" blogs, to provide the content of the site - which means I am Tweeting what I eat, generally musing on foodie subjects in my main blog and posting recipes and reviews of food, drink, equipment and restaurants that I enjoy (or not, as the case may be).
